Examples of blogs and online

National Emergency Services Museum blog
I was the chief blog writer for the National Emergency Services Museum's website. As well as writing more than 40 blog posts for the museum from 2020 onwards, I was also responsible for copy editing and proofreading blogs written by colleagues and had overall management of tone and content. The aim of the blog was to create wider engagement with the museum, and its role in preserving emergency services history, by presenting new, interesting and unusual stories inspired by its work and its collection. Collections Trust blog
I delivered a blog post to the national heritage organisation, The Collections Trust, on behalf of the National Emergency Services Museum. The blog was picked up and subsequently featured online and in the Collections Trust's print newsletter, and signposted on the organisation's social media. The blog focused on the innovative work of the museum's collections team, with an emphasis on how this supports the Collections Trust's current campaigns. You can read the blog via the link below.

National Emergency Services Museum website
I produced copy for the National Emergency Services Museum's website, and had overall management of ensuring the site was up to date, accurate, well-written and consistent. Examples of copy regularly provided and maintained by me included visitor information, introductions to exhibitions, event marketing, news items, pop-up notices, and information for corporate clients.

Rotherham and Barnsley Mind website
I was commissioned by the charity Rotherham and Barnsley Mind to develop a simple website for the organisation. At the time I was engaged the charity had little to no online presence, and I was tasked with developing a site from scratch. As well as creating a basic website and site navigation, I also produced all copy for the site, interpreting large amounts of raw data to produce simple, understandable and bitesize text suitable for an online audience and making it simple for people to access the help they needed.
